The Dementia Clock Dual Display

If you care for a loved one with dementia, you may be worried about them becoming confused about the time of day, or wandering during the night.

But you don’t need to worry anymore, because the Dementia Clock…

  • Allows you to choose between two displays to suit your loved one’s needs: one which shows the period of day, e.g. ‘now it’s Wednesday Afternoon’ or a calendar display, which shows the time and date
  • Automatically adjusts display brightness so the screen can be seen at night – this prevents your loved one from wandering during the night
  • Reduces your loved one’s anxiety about missing important dates and events

Why does the Dementia Clock have two displays?

People at different stages of dementia have different needs. Those in the early stages may not need the display that only shows the period of day, but will still benefit from having the time and date on a large, easy-to-read display.

As dementia progresses, they may benefit from a simpler display, which just shows the period of day.

This means that the Dementia Clock can be adapted as your loved one’s needs change.

How does the Dementia Clock benefit my loved one?

  • Reduces their confusion about the time of day
  • Helps them to distinguish between day and night. This reduces the likelihood of them wandering at inappropriate times and getting into potentially unsafe situations
  • The display can be changed as their needs change

How does the Dementia Clock benefit me?

  • Reduces your anxiety about your loved one wandering at night
  • Gives you a tool to help orientate your loved one to the period of day when they are becoming anxious and confused

Helps enormously

This was purchased for my mother, who is suffering the earlier stages of Dementia and helps her enormously with understanding what time of day and which day it is currently as she is easily confused and would constantly ask my father what the time was and what day it was, which at his age is something you could really do without.

Both are really pleased with, more so my father, it as it is easy to read and self setting and adjusting.

Helps to distinguish between am and pm times

I bought this clock for my Dad who has vascular dementia and got a little confused between am and pm times. This has helped him a lot and he is very proud of it, showing his carers and visitors.

These help relieve the anxiety of know what the time is but also what day of the week it is , date not so important.

I have bought 4 of these clocks. Two for my 95 year old Mother and 2 for a dear friend with early onset alzhiemers. They have one in their bedrooms and one in their lounges . They both don't know what they would do with out them now.

Very helpful reassurance

I purchased the Dementia Clock for my mum and dad, he has Alzhiemers,
they both say the clock is very helpful, just adds some reassurance about
what time of the day or night it is and dad knows where to go and look
if he is a bit confused. Because it is something they both feel positive about.

Brilliant service and I would recommend this company without any hesitation.

Purchased as a gift for my brother, who has mild dementia. The clock is really helpful for him, and he is very much relieved knowing what period of the day it is.
