Doro MemoryPlus 319i ph Ultra-Easy Landline

Description

Do you worry that a loved one is out of contact due to reduced dexterity, hearing or memory loss?

The MemoryPlus 319i ph can resolve any of these issues meaning that your loved one can be just a phone call away.

It features a low profile design so can be easily used from a seated position without strain.

The handset of the phone is ergonomically designed to be comfortable whilst holding and the large keypad makes it easy to use for all.

The keys are all concave and high contrast with a low reflection surface in order to make them easy to see, distinguish and press.

For frequent contacts, the phone comes with four photo dialling buttons. These allow you to program numbers into the phone so they do not need to be dialled. This also means that numbers do not need to be remembered, just faces. These photos are simple to change as the cover over the button pops open.

There is also the extra feature of a redial the number that called button. This eliminates the need to dial 1471 if you have missed a call, all that is needed is to press one button.

In order to prevent misdialling, there is also a dialling cover that would prevent any of the number keys from being pressed – this can be especially useful for those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

A frequent issue for those with hearing loss is that they do not hear their phone ringing. That is not a problem with this phone. There is a boosted and adjustable ringer volume so there are no more missed calls due to the ringer being too quiet. Both the ringer and the earpiece can be set to up to 10 times louder than an ordinary phone and can be adjusted easily. The phone is also fully HAC (Hearing Aid Compatible).

Additionally, there is a visual ring indicator, which is a flashing light when the phone is ringing.

The sound from the handset is loud and clear so that any user can hear their conversation with ease.

The MemoryPlus 319i ph has a choice of 9 ring tones depending on what the individual preference and hearing range is.

FAQs

Q. I have a question that’s not answered below. What should I do?

A. If you have a question, please click here to get in touch. We'll be happy to answer any queries you may have.

Q. Why are Doro phones good for the partially sighted and the hard of hearing?

A. Doro devices come with large keys and are therefore regarded as ‘big button mobile phones’. This helps those with impaired vision to more accurately see what buttons they are tapping and reduces the risk of the wrong number being dialled or the wrong word being typed out in a text message. Those customers with hearing impairments or with hearing aids will have a device that enables them to adjust the tone to compensate for different types of hearing loss. All Doro handsets are hearing aid compatible, and the sound can be amplified and the frequency adjusted.

Q. Are Doro mobile phones easy to use for the elderly; is there a steep learning curve?

A. One of the great things about the Doro range is that it doesn’t matter which device you decide to go with, they are all gimmick free. You don’t need to worry about all those things that many other people worry about - megapixels, snapdragons - and all the rest of it. Whilst Doro phones are easy to use, like anything else they will take a bit of getting used to. However, without the gimmicks and fancy extras of a top of the range smartphone, a Doro device doesn’t take long to master.
