The license for the first 12 months of live tracking is included in the price of the Pebbell - after the first year the current price of the license is £12 per year. The Pebbell’s roaming pay-as-you-go SIM connects to the best available network in the EU and comes with a minimum of £5 credit, which can be topped up as needed.

Q: Where can I find the number for the Pebbell?
A: The number for the Pebbell is located on the box.
Q: Is there a limit on how far away the Pebbell can be and still get a GPS location?
A: No, as long as a GPS location is available the pebbell can be found anywhere.
Q: The Pebbell is giving a foreign GPS location, what do I do?
A: When first connecting to the Pebbell you may receive a location as China. Send a text to the Pebbell ‘RESET!’ and retry.
Q: In response to a location request, the Pebbell responded with a text ‘BEFORE’.
A: The Pebbell cannot find a GPS location where the Pebbell currently is and so it reverts back to the last known location.
Q: How many contacts can be added to my device?
A: The Pebbell Tracker can store three emergency contacts. An SOS text message is sent to all the registered contacts that contains key information about the status of the device as well as a Google Maps link, which shows the location of the wearer at the time of activation. The Pebbell’s two way speech also allows the wearer to talk into the pendant and directly communicate with their contact. If the first number doesn’t answer the phone then the device will continue to dial the 2nd contact and in turn the 3rd contact.
Q: What method does the device use to send SOS alerts and make emergency calls?
A: The device comes with a roaming SIM card with a minimum of £5 credit allowing you to quickly get to grips with the tracker. In order to maintain connectivity the SIM must be topped up. A EU wide roaming SIM guide is also provided with your product to help you with the top up process.
Please note, this SIM's tariff requires a monthly line charge of £1.50 per month.
Q: Can I get my own SIM?
A: No. The SIM is pre-installed and is provided with the device.
Q: How much credit does the Pebbell 2 come with?
A: The Pebbell 2 comes with a minimum of £5 credit.
Q: What is the cost of a text or phone call from the Pebbell?
A: Texts are 15p each and phone calls are 19p per minute including VAT.
Q: How much does it cost to text or phone the Pebbell?
A: Standard UK charges apply.
Q: I am currently using an iPhone. Will it work with my phone?
A: Yes, the device tracks to any smartphone. In order to receive location data, the free Google Maps app must be downloaded. This data is accessed through a linked text message.
Q: My phone uses Sky Mobile, is it compatible?
A: Unfortunately Sky mobile use a limited profile and is unable to communicate with the Pebbell currently. This is a limitation of that network rather than the Pebbell.
Q: Is live tracking available?
A: Only with the Pebbell 2. You can use the live tracking web portal (available at https://pebbell.net) to enable tracking at more frequent intervals
Q: Do you have to download an app?
A: There is no app required for the Pebbell.
Q: Can I modify the time zone of my device?
A: Yes, using a simple SMS command from the primary authorised mobile you can change the time zone on the Pebbell. UTC time has been set as default time. We have outlined the full details below:
Command: TZ+ +00/-00
Note: The time format must be in 2 digits and at maximum 23 hours in value. “+” in the “time zone” portion of the text indicates east. The symbol “-“ in the “time zone” indicates west.
Example: tz+02, the system will add 2 hours based on the UTC time. tz-02, the system will minus 2 hours based on the UTC time.
Q. How do I set up the emergency contacts?
A. Send SMS command: A1 to the Pebbell from the phone you want as the first emergency contact.The Pebbell will reply: Set mobile number 1 OK!
To delete this number, you can send the SMS command: A0 to the tracker.
Repeat this process for the second and third contacts, by sending B1 from the phone you want as the second emergency contact, and C1 from the phone you want as the third emergency contact.
Alternatively, you can set the emergency contacts up from any phone. For example:
If you wanted the first emergency contact to be 078XXXXXXXX, you would send a message to the Pebbell from any phone saying: A1,+4478XXXXXXXX (with no spaces) and repeat the process for B1 and C1.

I bought the Pebbell for my dad. I like the fact that it uses GPS, has a panic button and is discrete. It is a brilliant product. We have attached it to his keyring and he thinks that it’s there to track his keys in case he loses them! We have found him in some strange places since he started using it!

My husband has dementia. The Pebbell is a lifesaver. I am now very happy for him to go out without me – he wears it on his belt and it is very unobtrusive. We have a new dog – the old dog would have brought him home if he got lost; now the Pebbell does! I can also confirm that the Pebbell is definitely waterproof as it has been through the washing machine!

The Pebbell does what you say it does and is very accurate. Perfect for the purpose we bought it. Looks and feels good. Not too heavy or obtrusive.
Shame it charges the emergency contacts when they message the Pebbell rather than being able to use inclusive text allowances. (Or wifi)
I had a slight concern about my mum's ability to charge the device. A contactless dish to put the device in would be better than the cradle provided, which might be tricky for vulnerable elderly types who aren't used to charging phones etc.
Well packaged, good instructions and easy to top up with money.
