Doro 8030 Easy to Use Smartphone

Description

Do you want a smartphone but find it a bit too complicated and daunting? Do you have a relative that you would like to be able to contact if they go out but the idea of a smartphone is too much for them?

Doro 8030 combines the enjoyment of using a fantastic smartphone with a more natural and understandable approach for those who may be unused to technology.

The Doro 8030 has unique technology that is designed to make the phone “think like you”. This technology makes the phone especially relevant and useful for a person living with dementia who still wants to be able to use a smart device.

With this in mind there is also an assistance button installed on the phone to act as an alert in case of confusion or disorientation. The GPS within the phone is also very helpful in such a situation and would allow you to find them without panic or stress.

To make the system more user friendly, the menu on the phone is based on ‘actions’ rather than apps. The user selects ‘Call’, ‘View’ or ‘Send’ and then decide what you want to do with help from the built in coach to assist you at every step.

The phone is fully compatible with hearing aids and so can be used by those with hearing difficulties without issues. It also has loud and clear speakers.

As well as having these additional features for ease of use, the Doro 8030 also has the more typical features of a smartphone, such as email, web browser and camera (5 mega pixels). This allows apps such as Facebook or Skype to be installed, giving additional ways to stay in touch.

The design is simple and intuitive.

The phone is not locked to any network and you can put in any SIM card. Click here to see which SIM-only deal would be best for you.

Q: What is My Doro Manager?

A: Doro have not only made the design and functionality of their devices simple and easy for their users, they have also devised a way for family members to offer help without being with the user.

It’s called My Doro Manager and allows the configuration to the settings such as screen brightness and volume , make changes to the phones applications and even add contact details or share media files. Having this control over the handsets system by someone who may well be sat at the other end of the country adds both simplicity and confidence to someone who is taking their first steps in to the smartphone world. If settings have been changed by accident the My Doro Manager App is the prefect tool to restore things to how they were.

The app also offers the user the choice to control what someone may have permission to change and also invite others to help. From the My Manager App those who have been invited to have permission to change settings will also be able to see the activity, phone calls and texts so if there has been very little activity you may wish to get in touch to make sure all is well.
