Knowing who's entering and leaving your loved one’s home when you can't there can be incredibly helpful.
The Netatmo Welcome is a clever indoor security device that uses facial recognition to put names to the faces it sees.
Welcome then sends the names of the people it sees directly to your smartphone. This means that you’ll be notified when your loved one enters or leaves the home, a carer arrives for a visit or even if an unknown person arrives.
In fact, your app will immediately identify who it is, and provide you with a picture and a short video too. You can even see what’s going on live.
What’s more, when Welcome hears an alarm, whether it be a smoke alarm, CO alarm, security alarm or siren, it will send a notification and record a video. This means that you’ll always know when your loved one’s alarm is sounding and you make the decision if help is needed.
But don’t worry, you can customize each person’s privacy settings so that you’ll only be alerted when you want to be. You can simply disable video recordings or notifications for individual people, such as your loved one or family members.
Welcome’s setup is very straightforward: just place the camera indoors, facing your entrance, plug it in, connect it to your loved one’s internet and download the free App. Identify your loved ones with a simple click. That’s it!
Video storage is completely free. No subscription, no contract and no hidden fees. Your videos and identification data will also stay entirely private thanks to Welcome’s local SD card storage. A screenshot of each event is stored for free in the cloud.
Netatmo Welcome is a revolutionary new product to the care market and has won a number of awards including four CES Innovation Awards, an A' Design Award and a Good Design Award.
