What is ‘Time for a Cuppa’?

Time for a Cuppa is a fundraising campaign for Dementia UK. It’s taking place between 1st and 8th March 2018.

The aim is to hold a tea party to raise money to fund more Admiral Nurses.

dementia nurseWho are Admiral Nurses?

Admiral Nurses are registered nurses who specialise in dementia. They have significant experience working with people with dementia and give expert practical and emotional support. They mostly work in the NHS in local communities, but can also work in care homes and hospices.

Admiral Nurses also run the Dementia UK helpline, providing advice and support to people over the phone. You can call the Dementia UK helpline on 0800 888 6678.

How can I get involved?

Hold a tea party with your family, friends or colleagues. Whether you fancy yourself the next Great British Bake Off champion, or you’ll be planning to pick something up from the shops, everyone can get involved to help raise money for Admiral Nurses!

You can order a Time for a Cuppa pack from Dementia UK. In the pack you’ll find games, fundraising ideas, posters and even some cake recipes, to make sure your event runs smoothly!

For some baking inspiration, have a look at some family recipes on the Dementia UK website.
