Little boy, four, suffering from epilepsy is granted his lifelong wish to visit ‘space’

It was the little boy’s simple wish to ‘go to the moon and the stars’.

And the team at the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Qantas organised the event and brought Dwayne’s epic fantasy to life.

He was over the moon when his day began meeting life-size Storm Troopers and Darth Vader, before being escorted through the terminals to ‘mission control’.

Teen with epilepsy creates poster to raise awareness of invisible illnesses

18-year-old Tom Bell, who lives with epilepsy, is shining light on invisible illnesses with a poster campaign with Fixers, the national charity that gives young people a voice.

Tom has lived with epilepsy since he was born, and also lacks coordination in his movements due to dyspraxia.

He was just 11 years old when he first suffered a ‘stroke-like’ episode, which left him using a wheelchair for three weeks.

Girl with epilepsy is close to cure ‘after eating 3,000 avocados’

A family claim they have nearly cured their daughter’s epilepsy after feeding her thousands of avocados. Leafy Liu, five, suffers from a severe form of the disorder which means she had up to 60 seizures a day.

After conventional medicine failed her parents turned to the ultra-high fat, low carb ketogenic diet around four years ago.

She eats at least two avocados a day – meaning she’s got through an estimated 3,000 pieces of the fruit.
